Hemophage

Hemophage is a top down action extraction game in which you play as Azazel, a blood demon looking to escape the confines of hell by amassing souls from its denizens. 
As you roam the bowels of hell, portals will appear from where demons will spawn. Kill the demons to steal their collected souls and add them to your own pool of power. The more you fight, the more you collect, but be careful, if you die before extracting yourself with your collection of souls, you lose them all!

Blood is power - Azazel uses his own lifeforce to shoot bone flechettes at his enemies and withdraw into a blood shadow that he can use to evade enemies. Doing so drains you of your health, but slaying enemies will drop globes of blood that you can use to restore yourself.

Relentless Efficiency - The more kills you get in a short period of time, the higher your combo value. The souls you gather are multiplied by your combo score, but failing to stay in combat will reset the combo value.

Devour - Azazel can consume weaker enemies to kill them outright and consume their blood, healing himself relative to your current combo score.

Escape - Sure you can leave at any time, but avarice and vainglory are core demonic tenants.  Once you escape with your hoard of souls, hit [Space] (or A on controller) to continue
